PowerPoint lessons - Photos

By today, the children would have attended 5 out of 8 of their PowerPoint lessons. Being equipped with basic IT skills are indeed important in today's society and I have to say I'm impressed at how IT-savvy they can be. They show much determination and potential. Take a glimpse of their cyber experience =)

Class Photos

Ordering of Class Photos
The class photos taken are out and available for ordering!

There is a total of 2 photos - formal and informal. The children had a look at them today.
Each photo costs $2.50 so 2 photos, $5

I would be taking orders from tomorrow onwards. Some children have already indicated their choice and paid me since the last collection of money for the photos. (Note that some of them only ordered 1 photo (eg. informal photo), hence if they wish to purchase the formal photo, they have to hand in another $2.50 to me. I have already informed the children about this matter)

Buying of the photos is NOT COMPULSORY (However, they are definitely worth buying! No regrets as they all look so good!)

I've posted the photos for parents to have a look as well.
The quality of the photos here is not good here as they are only sample photos. The quality of the photos that you will receive will be much better. (Click on photo for enlarged version)

Friendship Hand Puppets

KC Times are sessions whereby time is set aside for children to engage in activities that would instill moral values, good attitudes and social skills in them. These sessions are scheduled on certain Assembly periods and will go on throughout their 6 years in KCPPS.

The focus for KC Time last week was 'Friendship'. The children made hand puppets out of socks. This simple activity helped the children to forge stronger friendship bonds with their classmates as they used the puppets to communicate with one another. Enjoy the slideshow below =) Feel free to download the photos by clicking on 'View All Images' and then clicking on the individual photo that you want to download. After that, click on 'View Full-Size' before downloading the photo.

2nd Show & Tell -
What I Want to Be when I Grow Up!

Dear all,

We are currently on the English unit, 'Wishes & Dreams'. We will start the Show & Tell sessions for this unit next week. The topic is 'What I Want to Be when I Grow Up'. Pupils are to bring an item/drawing in relation to the topic and speak at least seven sentences about it.

For example, a pupil who wishes to be a pilot when he grow up can bring a toy aeroplane or a picture of the Changi Airport to help him/her focus on the presentation.

Some areas to pay attention to are:
  • Clarity of speech
  • Content (Number of sentences) / Prompts needed
  • Usage of complete sentences
  • Posture and eye contact with audience
